SWATH Pilot Tender "Proteus"

This is a so called 'SWATH' vessel, which stands for
Small Waterplane Area Twin Hull. This is a relatively
new concept, that resembles a catamaran. However,
it's two 'floats' remain completely submerged.

This vessel is used to take pilots onto and off of ships
that come into, or leave, port. These pilots have intimite
knowledge of the specific port, and take the ships in and out.

This vessel is based very heavily upon two SWATH
vessels that operate off the Dutch coast, named
Perseus and Cetus, respectively from Rotterdam and
Vlissingen.

Lacking proper blueprints or lineplans, I made this model
by eye, and because of the differences it is thus merely
a fictional depiction of this type of vessel.
